Hotels for Hope Announces a New Way to Support Non-Profits with RoomFunding™

AUSTIN, Texas - April 21, 2015 - PRLog -- Hotels for Hope, the Austin, Texas-based hotel brokerage company, today announced RoomFunding™, a new platform allowing clients to choose their own socially-responsible projects and assign donations generated from their own room night stays. RoomFunding™ issimilar to crowdfunding, but funds are raised through booking hotel rooms rather than monetary donations. Additionally, Hotels for Hope clients can set custom fundraising goals and generate social movements to help boost awareness for their RoomFunding™ projects.

“With RoomFunding™, we wanted to create projects with specific causes our clients are most passionate about,” says Neil Goldman, founder and CEO. “Over the past four years we’ve made significant contributions to our partner beneficiaries and are looking forward to giving back to even more charities. RoomFunding ™ is launching with several projects including Foundations of Music, A Glimmer of Hope, Kids in a New Groove, Special Olympics Texas, The Arc of Texas, The New York Police & Fire Widows' & Children's Benefit Fund and Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors. Just last year, Hotels for Hope raised more than $110 thousand dollars for these charities; and for every actualized room night, Hotels for Hope will also donate $2 to the nonprofit’s RoomFunding^™ project.

The RoomFunding™ goal is to be strategic when funding projects.Hotels for Hope believes that to achieve greater impact, there must be an attainable number of open projects. The project must meet Hotel for Hope’s social impact strategy by directly benefiting children. A minimum room night goal of 5,000 rooms will be set for each client who wants to create their own project and must be met over a two-year timeframe. Clients can set custom fundraising goals and generate social movements to help RoomFund™ projects.
