PRLog -- Abakus Media was created in Colorado in 2014 by Cannabis Cup founder Steven Hager. The company launched last August with a tribute to Dr. Hunter S. Thompson and Munchie Cup in Aspen. This event was followed by The Flower Cup held over the X Games in Aspen earlier this year.
Abakus manifested one of the most crowded and exciting booths at the Denver Cannabis Cup, one visited by numerous celebrities, including Bill Kreutzmann of the Grateful Dead, Danny Danko of High Times, original hip hop pioneer Busy Bee, and a CNN camera crew. Kreutzmann requested induction into the Pot Illuminati, and indicated his affection for Abakus founder Steven Hager, saying, "he's done so much for this culture."
During the event, the company launched a radio show, annouced the date and location for the next Munchie Cup (July 25-26) in Denver, and also released plans to create a comprehensive directory for cannabis dispensaries and companies in Colorado.
The radio show is being produced by the former producer of the High Times Radio Hour, Harry Crossfield, working in conjunction with Underground Experiments Radio.
