Follow on Google News | Trinity Christian Academy Hosts Community Picnic and Concert at the Dallas ArboretumBy: Trinity Christian Academy “Each year we are thrilled to have top-notch performers like Building 429 perform at our annual events. It brings together a community passionate about enhancing educational opportunities through TCA’s Student Tuition Aid program while experiencing positive, faith-based music,” said TCA Headmaster Dave Delph. “It’s more than a concert; this is a time to slow down and simply enjoy time of genuine fellowship shared with friends and family.” Building 429 solidified their influential role in Christian contemporary music back in 2011, remaining at number one on the Billboard Top 100 for 15 weeks with their single, “Where I Belong.” Since then, the band has continued to lead their fans through a bold new sound encouraging every listener that God equips you for the work of the Kingdom. In addition to the concert, there were a variety of activities for children of all ages including life-size Jenga and a giant Lite Brite. Guests were also invited to explore the 66-acre botanical garden, which just wrapped up the annual celebration, Dallas Blooms. A raffle also took place during the evening and the winner received a new car, courtesy of Huffines Auto Dealerships and TCA parents Ann and Ray Huffines. Overall, more than 23,000 raffle tickets were sold and raffle sales garnered more than $115,000.
