Attorney Shawn Seliger recognized as "Pro Bono Attorney of the Month" by Legal Aid Service of Collier County

BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. - April 24, 2015 - PRLog -- Southwest Florida attorney Shawn Seliger was recently named the April 2015 "Pro Bono Attorney of the Month" by the Legal Aid Service of Collier County. The award recognized Seliger for his years of outstanding pro bono work for Collier County's Legal Aid Service and generous financial support.

The Legal Aid Service of Collier County http://www.collierlegalaid.org/ is a private, nonprofit organization that provides free legal services to Collier County's most vulnerable residents, helping them protect their livelihoods, their health and their families. Pro bono attorneys provide a critical community safety net by handling individual cases in such areas as family law, housing, consumer issues, employment, bankruptcy, and immigration, among others. They also frequently participate in free legal clinics and contribute financially to the Legal Aid program.

"I enjoy serving Southwest Florida and supporting this organization that helps protect critical civil legal rights of those needing legal assistance in Collier County. With only one pro bono attorney for every 7,500 residents, the need in Collier County is great. I encourage other Southwest Florida lawyers to get involved with local Legal Aid groups to help advocate for residents needing legal assistance," said attorney Seliger.
