Santa Barbara Writers Conference June 7-12 at the Hyatt Santa Barbara

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - April 25, 2015 - PRLog -- Since 1972, the Santa Barbara Writers Conference has been connecting writers with mentors, agents and editors. Every summer, writers in many genres from around the world gather to participate in a magical week of intensive work focused on story, voice, craft, marketing, and networking with fellow writers and publishing professionals.

The conference has hosted a legacy of America's best writers, including: Ray Bradbury, Jane Smiley, William Styron, Eudora Welty, James Michener, Sue Grafton, Alex Hailey, Charles M. Schulz, Clive Cussler, Fannie Flagg,  Elmore Leonard, T.C. Boyle, Robert B. Parker, James Elroy, and many others.

Eleven writing workshops led by professional writers will run every morning and eleven different workshops will run every afternoon. There will also be afternoon panels and keynote speakers every night. This year's keynoters are Mona Simpson, Anthony Breznican, Danny Bland, Meg Gardiner, and Tawni O'Dell.

Close to a dozen literary agents and editors will be on hand to consider manuscript submissions from attendees with scheduled one-on-one meetings.

There are also opening and closing night banquets, a pool side wine and cheese party, a talent show, late night pirate workshops and more!
