Among the attendees was Percy Harvin. Percy Harvin is an American football wide receiver for the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League (NFL). According to ESPN, Harvin was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the first round of the 2009 NFL Draft. His purchase of Dr. Holsey’s books will go towards a good cause. Harvin is donating the books to children affiliated with the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Dr. Holsey will have her second signing at The Urban Bean Coffeehouse Caféin Orange Park, Florida as part of HALO for Families Commemoration for National Military Appreciation Month on May 30, 2015 at 1 p.m. EDT. Dr. Holsey is the Founder of HALO for Families Organization, whose mission is to meet the unique physical and mental health as well as social needs of children and families. Dr. Holsey has earned a Doctor of Public Health degree in Maternal and Child Heath, a Master of Public Health degree in Behavioral Sciences/Health Education, and a Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology. She has a passion for influencing children and families, especially the underserved and indigent. She has worked with young children for much of her professional career in the area of health education and promotion, and public health services. She also understands the importance of emotional health, and early literacy development. Dr. Holsey can offer a unique perspective on the topic of difficulties with family separations that are long term, as she is the wife of an enlisted sailor, and the mother of two young daughters.
