Mad Hatter and the Meeting Corner Host Downton Abbey Afternoon Tea

RALEIGH, N.C. - May 4, 2015 - PRLog -- Mad Hatter and the Meeting Corner recently hosted the Downton Abbey Afternoon Tea.

The two companies present Afternoon Teas on a regular basis, but the most recent event was a fun, themed party that included tea, trivia, and prizes by the Mad Hatter. Food was served by the Meeting Corner.

The Mad Hatter is a Fuquay-Varina shop that offers ladies hats and loose leaf teas, and the Meeting Corner is an area Puerto-Rican restaurant that is located near the Mad Hatter. The Downton Abbey Afternoon Tea was held on April 25, 2015, and was a smash success.

Both companies were excited to join forces to deliver an exciting tea event for locals. On the menu were decadent items such as scones, coronation chicken, egg salad sandwiches, almond cake, and cinnamon sugar donut muffins. Cucumber mint, orange pomegranate, and Bates brambleberry teas were served. Each guest departed with a pack of 4 cinnamon sugar donut muffins and a Downton Abbey Tea Sampler gift pack with six teas.

Mad Hatter and The Meeting Corner's next event will be Tea and Tapas in June.
