First Response Urgent Care Grand Opening Brooklyn, NY

BROOKLYN, N.Y. - May 4, 2015 - PRLog -- This new urgent care walk in clinic is the first of many to open under the brand First Response Urgent Care. The Brooklyn urgent care is open and offering medical services for adults and pediatric patients. New patients are welcome with or without a scheduled appointment. The urgent care center is open Monday through Saturday from 8:00am – 8:00pm and Sunday from 8:00am – 6:00pm.

“We saw a need in an underserved area of Brooklyn and thought this was an opportunity for us to give back to a community in need,” said First Response Urgent Care President Dr. Ijaz Ahmad, a renowned Cardiologist in Brooklyn (Pictured at the right with special guest New York District Attorney Ken Thompson). “We are here to offer Brooklyn state of the art immediate medical care to patients who can just walk in and incredibly excited see the positive response from members of this community at our grand opening.”

Dr. Ahmad graduated from the Allama Iqbal Medical College, University of Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan in 2000. He specializes in Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine. Dr. Ahmad is affiliated with Mount Sinai Medical Center and New York Methodist Hospital. Dr. Ahmad holds board certifications with the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease and the National Board of Echocardiography. He also belongs to the American College of Cardiology, American Society of Echocardiography, American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, and the American College of Physicians.

In attendance of the grand opening were First Response Urgent Care’s President Dr. Ijaz Ahmad and staff, Medical Director Dr. Charles Lawrence, special guest New York District Attorney Ken Thompson, many prominent physicians from the surrounding community, and numerous members of the local community. “The grand opening was a complete success. Our goal was to bring community awareness to who we are and services we offer along with showcasing our new urgent care facility to members of the community,” said Dr. Ahmad.
