TomCat Films Signs First Look Deal with Olive Films; Announces ‘Deadliest Prey’

May 4, 2015 - PRLog -- Scottsdale, AZ- April 28, 2015- TomCat Films, LLC, a vertically integrated film sales, licensing and distribution company, is pleased to announce that it has secured a Five (5) Picture First Look deal with Olive Films (http://www.olivefilms.com), a dynamic entertainment company dedicated to bringing independent, foreign, documentary and classic films to life.  The deal was struck in an agreement between the companies helmed by TomCat’s CEO Ted Chalmers and Olive Films President, Farhad Arshad.

The films in the TomCat/Olive deal will include new releases as well as restored cult-classics derived from TomCat’s vast array of strategic alliances with independent producers and classic film rights holders.

TomCat and Olive are teaming up after previous successes such as the restoration and release of the Bruce Campbell sci-fi classic, ‘Moon Trap’, as well as the worldwide cult phenomenon, ‘Roar’, starring Tippi Hedren and Melanie Griffith. Hailed as ‘The Most Dangerous Movie Ever Made’, ‘Roar’ has dominated today’s headlines with a theatrical release of the film in a deal with Drafthouse Cinemas.  TomCat’s Chalmers was responsible for discovering and commissioning a detailed remaster of the film.

TomCat and Olive plan to move forward on the five picture deal with ‘Deadliest Prey’, starring Ted Prior and directed by David Prior, a sequel to the 1987 cult favorite, Deadly Prey, in which a group of sadistic mercenaries kidnap people off the streets and set them loose on the grounds of their secret camp, so the "students" at the camp can learn how to track down and kill their prey.
