Lombardi Aguilar Group partner to Participate in Trade Mission to Tampa

TAMPA, Fla. - May 6, 2015 - PRLog -- On May 7 and 8, Lombardi Aguilar Group (www.laglex.com) partner Alvaro Aguilar-Alfu will participate in the Panama Trade Mission to Tampa Bay, Florida, organized by the American Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Panama (AmCham Panama).  Mission participants include private and government sector representatives who will attend the Doing Business in Panama luncheon and the 2015 International Town Hall in St. Petersburg, Florida.  The International Town Hall is organized by the Tampa Bay Export Alliance and kicks off World Trade Month with an in-depth look at the people and programs driving international business growth in Tampa Bay.

The trade mission agenda will include visits to the USF Connect Tech Park facilities, Port Tampa Bay and meetings with business representatives of the area.   "The Port of Tampa Bay is the largest port in Florida and Tampa International Airport is destination for Panama's airline direct flights", Aguilar said. "The expansion of the Panama Canal will change traditional dynamics of trade flows to U.S. Eastern port terminals and benefit cities with multimodal hubs like Tampa.  This makes the trade mission an excellent opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge of the opportunities available to our clients already working with us.  The fact that this is the first trade mission organized by Amcham Panama to a foreign destination makes it a special privilege to attend."

Mr. Aguilar is a graduate of Universidad Santa Maria la Antigua (LLB) and Washington College of Law at The American University (LLM). He has 20 years of business law experience on behalf of local, European and U.S. companies doing business in Latin America.  Mr. Aguilar also serves as Chairman of the AmCham Panama Trade & Investment Committee, which provides a friendly forum for information exchange and collaboration between the public and private sector, strengthening relationships with key groups of stakeholders in the region, including the National Government, embassies and other private-sector organizations.
