Sii HT handheld thermal camera provides night vision capability for civilian low enforcement, search and rescue, surveillance and other security applications. The camera is capable of detecting a person at more than 700 meters and a vehicle at more than 1600 meters. Sii HT is available with a wide variety of accessories for maximum flexibility. It enables rescue forces and law enforcement personnel to conduct nighttime perimeter surveillance of sensitive sites, including boundary fence, pipelines, oil terminals, power stations, communication transmitters and prisons. When used by foot, vehicle or naval patrol the camera thermal image passively detect the thermal energy of the objects thus distinguishing people or other warm objects from their immediate surroundings. A grey scale video image is generated showing this differentiation. A wide variety of accessories further enhance the Sii HT which include Wireless video transmitter and receiver, remote control centre, covert scope, tactical pole and glare shield.
The Sii HT can be operated in total darkness, light fog, smoke, dust, or day light conditions. Overcoming the limitations of night vision, Sii HT prevents suspects from hiding behind the cloak of darkness; their own body heat gives them away. The rugged design allows it to withstand the harshest weather and environmental conditions, including rain, direct sunlight, high humidity, dust, heat, and cold.
