Celebrate Mother’s Day Weekend at Destin’s Annual Art FestivalThe 27th ArtsQuest Fine Arts Festival Fills Grand Boulevard for 3 Days with Music, Art, Activities, and Food.
By: www.DestinFun.com The annual festival is produced by the Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County (CAA) and presented by Visit South Walton and Grand Boulevard at Sandestin. The Full Plate Project, CAA’s fundraiser with Food for Thought Outreach, will be an additional exhibit. Plates painted by the community will be for sale with proceeds funding arts in education and food for children in need. A CAA Member exhibit featuring over 50 artists and the new “Gallery Lane” will also be included among the festival events. Live music will be enjoyed throughout the weekend from the Grand Park Main Stage. Friday evening, Boukou Groove will perform live with their soulful sound. The Sluetown Strutters, normally heard in the French Quarter, will provide entertainment on Saturday. “ImagiNation” This year’s featured artist is Amanda Bennett from Nashville, TN. The 2015 festival theme has a French circus theme style, inspired by Bennett’s artwork. Her latest series involves acrylic mediums and personal photography combined on plywood with a rare perspective. ArtsQuest Fine Arts & Music Festival will be held at Grand Boulevard in Sandestin and is convenient to the beaches of South Walton from Seaside to Seagrove Beach.
