MetaSense Founder Completes Prestigious Small Business Curriculum

WEST BERLIN, N.J. - May 12, 2015 - PRLog -- Jatin Mehta, founder and managing director of award-winning South Jersey staffing, digital marketing and SEO company MetaSense, Inc., was one of just 34 area entrepreneurs to graduate from the sixth cohort of Goldman Sachs’ 10,000 Small Businesses – Philadelphia class April 17 during a ceremony held at Community College of Philadelphia.

Dr. Mehta was part of a diverse group of business leaders who spent 14 weeks – roughly 100 class hours – at the main campus of Community College of Philadelphia actively engaged in an entrepreneurial business curriculum designed by Babson College and delivered by the community college faculty. The curriculum covered all elements of running one's business, from money and metrics to marketing and sales. The program also included one-on-one business advising, accounting workshops and advice from top law firms and Goldman Sachs professionals.

“This was a terrific opportunity to learn techniques that will help my business move forward, and to meet other like-minded entrepreneurs,” says Jatin.  “It’s great to know that big corporations are investing in the growth of smaller companies to help them get to that next stage.”

Mehta holds an Executive MBA from University of Massachusetts Isenberg School of Management, and a doctorate in biomedical engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai.  He has more than 22 years’ experience as an entrepreneur in the fields of staffing and digital marketing, among others, and founded MetaSense, Inc., in 1999.  Dr. Mehta was recognized as a Minority Business Leader by the Philadelphia Business Journal in 2010, and MetaSense was named a Fastest Growing Company by the same publication in 2010, and Incubator Company of the Year in 2011.  MetaSense also won the Readers’ Choice Award from SNJ Business People in 2014.

Applications for 10,000 Small Businesses are accepted on a rolling basis at Community College of Philadelphia, with June 8, 2015, as the deadline to apply for the next cohort.
