Jupiter Systems Marks 30th Anniversary

MAKATI CITY, Philippines - May 19, 2015 - PRLog -- Jupiter Systems, the pioneering Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software house in the Philippines marks a major milestone in celebrating its 30^th anniversary today.  Jupiter is proudly Filipino and known for its ERP solution with the brand name ERIC. ERIC stands for Enterprise Resource Information and Control and started out on DOS based version 1.0, moved to UNIX and eventually evolved to the current client-server architecture.  So stable were some ERIC Financial installations that some companies used the same version for years.  The ERIC ERP covered the core Financial, Distribution, Personnel and Manufacturing suites.  Its Financial suite is BIR CAS (Computerized Accounting System) certified.  In 2005, Jupiter went on to the front end in the automotive dealership industry and created dealership management system branded as ERIC DMS.  Today, ERIC DMS, which is a full-scope end-to-end automotive dealership management solution is the proven effective system for a sizable chunk of the automotive dealership industry.  DTI cited ERIC DMS as Consumer Application of the Year for eServices in 2010.  Jupiter itself was recognized by the prestigious International Data Corporation (IDC) as the Local Software Hero in the Philippines in 2001.  Jupiter, as a long-time software developer house, had also been home and training ground over the years for aspiring programmers, quality assurance software engineers, and ERP consultants in the Philippines.  Much of its employees over the years have gone out to various fields in the ERP software industry and established the Filipino brand of ingenuity and skills in ERP systems.  One of Jupiter’s founders, Nelson C. Ng, remains the stalwart of the software technology behind ERIC.
