Santa Barbara Rock Gym’s “Teen Rocks” Program Offers Teens a chance to get outside this summer

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - May 19, 2015 - PRLog -- Santa Barbara Rock Gym, the first company to be approved to lead rock-climbing tours in the Los Padres National Forest, is launching a summer camp program that will allow local teenagers to experience some of the iconic climbing locations only available inside the forest.  These locations include spots inside the breathtaking Los Padres such as Lizard’s Mouth, as well as other landmarks like Gibraltar Rock and San Ysidro.

Santa Barbara Rock Gym’s level of access to local climbing spots is unparalleled, and their recent move to expose teens to these notorious places is a rare opportunity that Santa Barbara locals should be eager to seize.  With this level of access comes a responsibility share and maintain the beauty within the forest, and one that Santa Barbara Rock Gym embraces. For instance, after becoming the first and only company approved by the Los Padres National Forest in April of last year, SBRG made a move to lead bi-annual clean ups of the park. During these clean ups SBRG partnered with different youth groups to work on increasing environmental awareness. Consequently, there is no doubt that “Teen Rocks” will also focus on environmental awareness, and lead teens to a greater respect for nature, as well as the sacred spots they will be exploring.
