Bahamas Rich Basketball History from College to NBABahamas Announces 2015 TOP 50 Male Basketball Players to Play in July Showcase
By: Bahamas Global Sports Foundation Bahamian basketball players excelled in the NCAA tournament this year and one of the favorite national storylines is the friendship of Oklahoma’s Buddy Hield and Michigan’s Tum Tum Nairn. Nairn's Michigan State teammates earned him eternal bragging rights while Hield, his close friend, would never hear the end of the games result. The Bahamas is also home to retired NBA players, Rick Fox and the Thompson brother’s; Each of the players participating this summer will have an opportunity to earn college scholarships. The organization partnered with the US Embassy Nassau and the Bahamas Basketball Federation last year for the inaugural TOP 50 Camp that resulted in 11 scholarships to attend US colleges.
