CryoFX® CO2 Special Effects Cannon Jets featured in the video production of ‘The HUM’

SAN DIEGO - June 1, 2015 - PRLog -- San Diego, CALIFORNIA - Creating an extraordinary music video requires the synchronization of many key elements. To pull off an unforgettable event, the performers, video production crew, sound engineers and the special effects team must be ready to exceed a typical routine. During the third week of April, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike teamed up with Ummet Ozcan in spectacular fashion to record the official music video for “The HUM.”

Martial arts film star, Jean Claude Van Damme and Hollywood entertainment icon, Charlie Sheen are featured in the music video. The setting is based on a lavish pool party that is held at a mansion in Upland, California.

CryoFX®, a leader in special effects equipment was on the set to provide cold blasts of liquid Co2. Throughout the music video, team members from CryoFX® used Co2 Cannons, Co2 Jets and Night Club Cannons to enhance the aesthetics and shock value for dancers, as wells the guests who were enjoying the atmosphere in the area of the pool.

A charismatic monkey, a crocodile and an elephant joined in on the fun at the standing room only pool party that lasted until the early morning hours.

“Smash The House,” the record label for the “HUM - Featuring Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike ft. Ummet Ozcan” wanted to showcase an elaborate party that included a large crowd of folks having an awesome time. To prepare for the special effects, CryoFX® had four technicians and two full video crews on site for over 11 hours. Team members from CryoFX® were tasked with the full setup, testing, operation, video shoot, relocation, more testing and strike (tear down) of the equipment.

Hired to provide full service Co2 Special Effects Service for on location video shooting, CryoFX® aligned its products and team members to deliver electrifying performances. High-powered products for the special effects featured 12 Co2 tanks weighing 50 pounds each, six Co2 Jets that consisted of two CryoFX® LED Cannons and Four CryoFX® DMX 512 Co2 Cannons. Handheld Night Club Cannons featured the use of a CryoFX® Handheld Co2 Cannon and a CryoFX® Cryo Bazooka.

As seen in the music video “The HUM,” imitation fog is used to create exciting theatrical elements. CryoFX® offers Co2-based products that may incorporate multiple devices, extra bright lights, sound and simultaneous bursts of fog for a variety of special effects.
