iRiS Mobile Key launched in collaboration with ASSA ABLOY Hospitality

LONDON - June 5, 2015 - PRLog -- iRiS Software Systems, the leading provider of guest facing technology, announces an integration with ASSA ABLOY Hospitality, the leading global provider of advanced hotel locking solutions. The companies have joined forces in order to provide access to the new ASSA ABLOY Hospitality Mobile Access solution through the iRiS interactive guest services application that is available to hotels for use in enhancing guest communication and services via their personal mobile devices. Through the new technology partnership, hotel guests will now be able to use their smartphones as digital keys to their assigned guestrooms. The solution will soon be available to any hotel in the world, whether independent or chain.

The new Mobile Key feature uses a close integration of ASSA ABLOY Hospitality Mobile Access with the iRiS Mobile Valet application, a user-friendly guest-facing solution that allows the hotel’s guests to interact with all of the hotel’s services and facilities in their preferred language directly on their smartphone. From in-room dining to room controls, from restaurant bookings to housekeeping requests, guests can easily access hotel amenities.

After checking in with iRiS Mobile Valet, guests will be given the option of programming their phone as a door key. They will then receive a unique PIN code, as well as generate the ‘Open Door’ option. By using this option, their smartphone will begin broadcasting the key via the ASSA ABLOY Hospitality Mobile Access SDK integrated to Mobile Valet and display an animation to the users of the required action. Guests will then just have to touch their device to the VingCard lock, removing the need for physical keys or passcodes.
