Residential construction surges in South Florida

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - June 5, 2015 - PRLog -- As we approach the mid-year point of 2015, reports indicate there is no better time to be in the South Florida construction market. High-rise residential development is surging again, as national electrical contractor, Power Design, Inc., has experienced first-hand.

The St. Petersburg, Florida-based company achieved its highest value of contract awards in 2014 after 25 years in business, nearly a third of which came from South Florida. As a result, Power Design is now amidst the boom with more than 40 projects currently under construction in the South Florida market.

“With all of the work we currently have in South Florida, the luxury condominiums are the most impressive,” said Power Design’s Regional Vice President, Joseph Micallef. “We are working on the most high-end amenities packages and residences with major brands like SLS, Ritz Carlton and Marriott.”

Out of the roughly 40 projects Power Design has under construction in South Florida, 9 out of the top 10 largest contract values belong to condominium projects. Topping the list, is Surf Club, followed by Jade Signature, Brickell Heights, SLS Lux Brickell, and One Thousand Museum (pictured above).

This trend bodes well not only for Power Design’s projected revenue, but for hiring opportunities in the local Tampa Bay and South Florida areas as well.
