Former Marine Launches Mobile App “Beauty Shield” to Protect Creative Professionals

BALTIMORE - June 9, 2015 - PRLog -- Marine Corps veteran and commercial photographer Milton Lawrence, Jr. has launched Beauty Shield - a new mobile app designed to further brand and protect photographs online.

“It’s the first defense against brand larceny,” says Beauty Shield founder Milton Lawrence, Jr. who was inspired to develop the app after witnessing the frustration of several of his photography clients. His clients - mostly hair and beauty professionals - were frustrated because competitors were stealing their marketing images from popular sites like Instagram. When those same competitors would then repost the images, passing them off as their own, Lawrence’s clients felt helpless. So he took it upon himself to develop a custom watermarking app for the beauty industry that adds an extra layer of brand protection.

“You have to protect yourself. Just like homeowners protect their homes by putting a lock on the door, when you start to brand yourself online, you need a tool that protects your digital investment,” Lawrence says.

Beauty Shield boasts three compelling features. For the creative professional who simply wants to protect their brand, the app offers an easy to upload photo or text watermark that can be added to existing images before those images are released on social media sites. For creatives who need to get documents signed on the go, the app also provides a client model release that can be signed with the touch of a finger directly on the user’s mobile device. Users also have the ability to upload their own contracts or documents for signature. Lastly, the app features a custom logo development tool for creative professionals who do not have an existing logo to upload into the app. The Beauty Shield team will create a custom logo for the user.
