Rainbow Pediatrics Announces Scholarship Contest Winners

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - June 10, 2015 - PRLog -- Fayetteville, North Carolina based pediatric group, Rainbow Pediatrics, announced today the three winners of their Fund My Future Scholarship contest. The contest, which was open to active patients who were high school juniors or seniors, was launched in honor of Rainbow Pediatrics’ ten year anniversary. The three winners were Devon Parker (first place), Kaylee Lopez-Rosario (second place) and Philip Kim (third place).

“We thoroughly enjoyed reading all of the entries we received,” said Taner Esensoy, MD, Pediatrician and Founder of Rainbow Pediatrics. “It was tough to choose just three winners,” Esensoy added.

The winners were selected from a pool of entrants that submitted essays sharing how winning the scholarship would make a difference in their future. They were also asked to share a quote that defined them. Each essay was judged on creativity, originality and communication, as well as adherence to the contest rules. The winners received $1,500 (first place), $1,000 (second place) and $500 (third place).

“It was such a good feeling to be able to contact the three winners and let them know they won,” said Felicia Coats, Administrator at Rainbow Pediatrics. “They were overjoyed to learn they received a scholarship towards their college education, which will help secure their future,” Coats added.

As a way of showing gratitude toward their patients, Rainbow Pediatrics will be offering a scholarship contest annually.
