Follow on Google News | CTP Sinto America Receives Holcim Cement Plant Order for Air Pollution Control SystemCTP Sinto America, LLC (CTPSA) has announced the sale of a Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer (RTO) system to the Holcim (US) cement plant located in Midlothian, Texas to reduce emissions by thermal oxidation.
By: CTP Sinto America The project scope includes supply and installation of a CTP Model AutoTherm6-4200 designed to handle 420,000 Nm3/hr of gas, and duct modifications required to route the gas to the RTO and return it to the exhaust. CTP Sinto America will provide engineering, manufacturing, project management, field operations, installation and commissioning. Controls will be integrated into Holcim’s existing plant-wide DCS. The system will be ready for operation in 2016. The RTO will be manufactured at SandMold Systems in Newaygo, Michigan with some specialty parts manufactured at CTP facilities in Austria. SandMold Systems, a Sinto America company, is well known for providing large scale industrial equipment and complete plant systems to the mineral processing industry in the US, Canada and Mexico. They are affiliated with CTP Sinto America through Sinto America Inc. More stringent regulations based on National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants in the US require compliance by many cement manufacturers. CTP’s technology is especially suited to this application and CTP Sinto America has identified the North American cement market for future growth. CTP Sinto America, LLC is the North American business unit of CTP (Chemisch Thermische Prozesstechnik, GmbH), a global air pollution control equipment supplier with headquarters in Graz, Austria.
