By: EFD Induction “This is welcome news for manufacturers keen to benefit from the latest in technical advances,” says Julien Delaby, Sales Manager at EFD Induction France. “The Sinac family is a proven heating solution in numerous industries, and our latest versions offer enhanced ease-of-use and functionality. There is, for instance, a crisp new Graphical User Interface, as well as improved fault diagnosis and a refreshed options management menu. And of course, there is remote control via fieldbus—Profibus and Modbus—or digital and analog signals.” The Sinac PM/PH is available with single or dual power outputs. “This is a very popular option,” comments Delaby. “It means that a single converter provides two fully independent power outputs. In essence, it provides two converters in one. Other options include a choice between power or voltage regulation, automatic capacitor selection and the possibility of leakage monitoring and inductor grounding. The PM/PH range—which delivers a constant power factor of 0.95 (efficiency factor of 93% at 50 kHz)—is designed to support a wide variety of induction coils in medium- and high-frequency applications. It comes with a power output of 50 to 200 kW in a frequency range of 4 to 200 kHz. Sinac PM/PH is a product within the EFD Induction Sinac family. The Sinac family features low-, medium- and high-frequency systems available with both parallel- and serial-compensated converters.
