Follow on Google News | Next Generation Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Treatment will be Presented at National ConferenceThe clinical trial results of a next generation treatment for carpal tunnel syndrome is being presented at an upcoming medical conference in Texas. The presentation is entitled, "Independent Validation of Carpal Rx to Treat Carpal Tunnel Syndrome."
Dr. Senzi will discuss his research findings at the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine annual conference on 25-30 October 2015 in Dallas, Texas, USA. The independent research was carried out to scientifically determine the effectiveness of the Carpal Rx in helping patients relieve their moderate or severe carpal tunnel syndrome. Dr. Senzi continued, "This research is a vital element for treating patients with various degrees carpal tunnel syndrome. Our data show that the Carpal Rx is far better than any other treatment available today, including carpal tunnel release surgery. We validated the efficacy of the Carpal Rx device that was published is several other studies elsewhere. And since our staff is independent of both commercial and professional bias, we remain highly confident in our results." Dr. Senzi’s research included sixty nine volunteer patients in a controlled environment who were all verified by EMG to have different levels of carpal tunnel syndrome. Study patients were provided with a Carpal Rx massager device and instructed to use it for twelve weeks. Control patients did not get a Carpal Rx but splinted their wrist every night. Of the results, Dr. Senzi said, “With regard to symptoms relief, our data revealed nearly three-fold improvement with Carpal Rx therapy at one month, and four-fold improvement at two and three months.” A statement released by the makers of the Carpal Rx, Carpal Pain Solutions, Inc. of Palm City, Florida (USA) said, “The results of [Dr. Senzi’s] clinical trial are remarkable; not only because the results independently verify previous studies, but they truly impact how carpal tunnel syndrome patients will be treated before any other intervention is suggested.” Indeed, patients like the results they get with the Carpal Rx. Dr. Senzi pointed out that the patient satisfaction rate was nearly seven-fold better in Carpal Rx users compared to splint users. In a phone interview, Dr. Senzi said, “We achieved significant symptomatic relief of carpal tunnel syndrome using the Carpal Rx. That kind of result cannot be achieved with splinting alone. Also, overall patient satisfaction was superior with the Carpal Rx, suggesting very good resolution of symptoms. Based upon these results we conclude that the Carpal Rx is far superior to splinting alone. In fact, in my years of treating carpal tunnel syndrome patients, no other therapy even comes close to achieving such effectiveness, not even carpal tunnel surgery.” End
