Thinlabs Releases Vandal-Proof Touch-Screen Computer

FAIRLESS HILLS, Pa. - June 18, 2015 - PRLog -- Thinlabs, the leading innovator of smart client computing solutions since 1998, is pleased to announce that orders are now being accepted for the TLO-110, the highly customizable, rugged, vandal-proof, touch screen computer, for superior impact resistant protection and dependable performance in high-visibility areas, including ATMs, gaming machines, kiosks, POS terminals, medical devices and more.

The environmentally-friendly TLO-110 runs on Power Over Ethernet (POE 802.3at+, UPOE) providing power and data over a single CAT5e/CAT6 cable at distances up to 100 meters from a POE power source, allowing kiosk manufacturers the ability to set up systems almost anywhere indoors or out, not to mention significant electrical and installation cost savings. A standard 12V power supply option is also available.

Featuring a choice of either rear VESA or side mounting options, the TLO-110 is designed with an ultra-slim bezel for tightly-spaced environments, and multi-lingual on-screen display with gesture support. Systems are available in a variety of size options, including 15", 17”, 19", 22” and up.

Easily tailored to address specific company and project needs, there are a multitude of add-on possibilities to choose from, including biometric scanners (fingerprint, iris recognition, retina), smart card, RFID, high video resolution webcam and more. Built-in battery backup is optional for systems with a kiosk enclosure. Conformal coating and shatter-proof glass are also available for tough, rugged industrial environments.

Legacy port support is also available for customers requiring use of serial or parallel devices.

The product is also offered with a choice of either a metal (TLM-110) enclosure option, complete with IP65 compliant front panel to prevent liquid and dust ingress, or customer-supplied custom (TLC-110) enclosure to meet specific individual project requirements.
