Intellihot Tankless Technology Supplies 62-Story, LEED-Certified High Rise

CHICAGO - June 23, 2015 - PRLog -- Intellihot Green Technologies Inc. (“Intellihot”) today announced the successful installation of its tankless  on-demand water heating technology at “340 On the Park”, a 62-story high rise located at the Northern edge of Millennium Park in Chicago, IL.  Intellihot manufactures energy-efficient heating systems for commercial, industrial, and residential applications.

Intellihot’s on-demand water heaters do not require storage tanks.  They heat water only when it is needed, thereby reducing energy waste and floor space needs arising from conventional tanks or tank-boiler systems.  Intellihot’s patented modular system and masterless control technology is designed to increase reliability and uptime.

Intellihot founder and CEO Sridhar Deivasigamani states, “tankless water heaters have become popular in many parts of the world because of the significant energy savings they offer.  However, due to some limitations of the technology, they have not been successful in commercial and industrial applications.  We have designed a new type of on-demand water heater that enables widespread use from a small multifamily to an extremely large hotel or hospitals.  We are taking the technology where it has not gone before.”

Completed in 2007, “340 On the Park” is the second tallest all-residential building in Chicago (at 672 feet (205 meters) with 62 floors.  It is the first residential tower in the Midwestern United States to achieve Silver LEED certification for its "green" design, including a large winter garden for residents.
