THE FIREFLY ANANDA by Sanja Matas, illustrated by Lara Rosić

BRUSSELS - June 25, 2015 - PRLog -- Firefly Ananda lives in Light-Town. She goes to a fireflies' school where the subjects taught are love, truth, honesty, kindness and joy. She is about to graduate from school and in order to do so she must help someone in trouble. Little Ivan is in trouble, he is lost. Will Ananda be able to help him? Will she pass the ultimate graduation exam of life?

Sanja Matas was born in 1963 in Koprivnica and finished her high school education in Split.  She graduated in 1984 from the Pedagogical Academy of Split with the title of Classroom Teacher. Then followed with studies in the field of Special Education and Rehabilitation in Zagreb at the end of which she went to London for a temporary job. Upon her return to Croatia she graduated as Teacher of special Education and Rehabilitation, following which she was (and still is) employed at the Centre for Education “Juraj Bonači” working with children with special needs.

Lara Rosić

Lara Rosić was born in 1974 in Split, where she finished her high school education. She graduated from the Faculty of Science and Education, University of Split, where she got the title of Graduated Teacher. For ten years she practiced ballet dancing and participated at ballet performances of the Šibenik Children’s Festival. She presently works at the Centre for Education “Juraj Bonači” in Split, where she is a class teacher in the educational group for children with special needs. In the meantime she acquired the titles of Marte Meo Practitioner and J. Ayres Sensory Integration Pedagogue. In her free time Lara draws, paints and designs jewelry. She is the mother of two children.
