New River Auto Mall to Participate in 17th Annual Take Your Dog to Work Day

HARDEEVILLE, S.C. - June 26, 2015 - PRLog -- On Friday, June 26, employees around the world will take a break from working like a dog to working with their dogs to recognize the special role dogs play in our lives, all while raising awareness for pet adoptions. The dealerships at the New River Auto Mall are joining in the international celebration and opening its doors to employees’ furry, four-legged best friends for the PSI’s 17^th annual Take Your Dog To Work Day (TYDTWDay^®).

TYDTWDay was established by Pet Sitters International (PSI) in 1999. This annual event urges businesses around the globe to experience the joys of dogs in the workplace for just one day to celebrate the great companions dogs make, and to promote adoptions from local shelters, rescue groups, and humane societies.

“New River Auto Mall is excited to go to the dogs for a good cause! We see this event as a way to recognize the important role dogs play in our employees’ lives and an opportunity to make a positive impact on our local community,” said Jill Jauch, Marketing and Advertising Manager for New River Auto Mall.

The 2015 celebration marks New River Auto Mall’s third year of TYDTWDay participation.

New River Auto Mall will be collecting donations for the Palmetto Animal League (PAL) all week. People can drop off items at the Subaru of Hilton Head dealership, located at 111 Drivers Way at the New River Auto Mall. PAL has requested the following items:

    • Jolly Balls – heavy duty dog toys; all sizes

    • Real dog bones for chewing

    • Small kiddie pools

    • Bleach

    • Laundry detergent

    • Sheets, towels and blankets for puppies
