Drunken Mothers Celebrate Husbands' Defeat by 10 Year Olds

LA CANADA FLINTRIDGE, Calif. - June 26, 2015 - PRLog -- Partying mothers watched with delight as their children soundly defeated their husbands in a “Fathers vs. Sons” competition that celebrated the upcoming launch of a new outdoor game, “Capture the Flag REDUX.”  The game, which funded on Kickstarter and officially opens to the public on July 1st, garnered rave reviews from the players.  Said one of the winning 10 year olds, “It’s the best game ever!”

The secret behind the game’s success: darkness.  Played after the sun sets, Capture the Flag REDUX uses specialty LED lights to transform the classic outdoor game “Capture the Flag” into an after dark adventure.  It provides glowing Orbs instead of flags, “War Light” territory markers, special Jail Lights, and glowing team identifiers.  It is designed to provide a fun and active nighttime alternative to playing video games or watching TV.

The gaming kit has caught the attention of a variety of sources, ranging from The Steampunk World Fair to Celebrate Women Today to www.SummerCampProgramDirector.com, a site dedicated to providing resources for summer camps.  The owner of the latter site, Curt Jackson, said, “I was really impressed with the kit.  I had a local youth group test it out….They loved it.”

“Capture the Flag is great as it is,” said Judd King, the inventor of the game, a high school teacher and an Eagle Scout.  “But we figured, let’s take it to the next level and give it a truly unique spin.  Let’s use technology to get youth to be active rather than inactive.”

The game comes as a kit that includes two colored, light-up orbs – softball-sized globes that function as the all-important “flag” in the game – eight illuminated jail markers, seven territory lights, forty glow wrist bands, 12 game variation cards and a guidebook. The kit retails for $48.
