When it comes to building an online presence and maintaining it, Musial says the biggest mistake she sees entrepreneurs make is trying to cut expenses by hiring the wrong people or taking a DIY approach. The second mistake is thinking that online marketing is a quick fix to their problems.

Musial stresses that building and maintaining an effective online presence takes a long-term, consistent effort.        “If you discontinue your online efforts, you will slowly lose your followers. And any momentum you’ve built with search engines will fade away,” says Musial. “Google and other search engines want to see activity in the form of content on a regular basis.”

According to Musial, more than 75% of people go to the internet prior to a purchase. “If you don’t show up on the internet in a big way, you lose without ever having a chance,” she says. “I put the steps in the book into practice in my own business,” she says. “I have my own business coach. I invest heavily in my own education, and I participate in multiple masterminds throughout the United States.”
