LA Senate District 24 candidate Gerald Boudreaux to attend Louisiana Hall of Fame celebration

LAFAYETTE, La. - June 27, 2015 - PRLog -- Louisiana as a whole has a wealth of talent. Boudreaux is proud to be among such greatness. He is a Lafayette, Louisiana native who has quite the resume himself when it comes to athletics.  Boudreaux has received numerous honors for his work. In his position as Director of the Lafayette Parks and Recreations, he works tirelessly with the youth, adult and therapeutic programs to bring a modern feel to Southwest Louisiana public parks and athletics. He has certainly made a positive difference in that position and it has enabled him to take part in many charitable endeavors.  Boudreaux’s athletic resume alone is extensive in the very least. It includes:

·         A 20-year career as a nationally-renowned referee

·         LHSAA official in football, basketball and baseball

·         Officiated five NCAA Final Four basketball games

·         A stint as Coordinator of Officials for the SEC

·         Honored as Naismith College Men’s Basketball Official of the Year by the Atlanta Tipoff Club

·         Named “Mr. Louisiana Basketball” by the Louisiana Association of Basketball Coaches

·         Recipient of the Dave Dixon Sports Leadership Award

·         Inducted into the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame in 2010

·         Board member of the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame since 2014
