The punch cards were a way for tourists or locals to get involved in the “Wake Up in Mystic Falls” event. Each individual had to go to four different stores, purchase an item, and write down their contact information so that they could win the pancake breakfast with Chase. Each business on the square participated in the event by showcasing their “vampire” themed items. For example, the Cork wine and gifts boutique on the square had a special “vampire wine selection” for that evening. The Lion’s Club of Covington provided the pancake breakfast with Chase Coleman on May 15th. After the pancake breakfast, many people had the option to go on The Vampire Diaries tours throughout the day. The last event took place at the Worthington manor, which is known as the “Lockwood mansion” from The Vampire Diaries. The tours began at 3 p.m. Fans got a private tour of the mansion, where they could see the mansion in depth. Many fans could recognize certain items from the show while touring the mansion. The “Wake Up in Mystic Falls” event was a huge success. According to some fans, they all said, “’The Wake Up in Mystic Falls’ event was everything and more than they expected.” Another person mentioned, “ Watching the season six finale on the big screen and seeing all of the celebrities was a real treat.” End
