Independence Day on the Square in Covington, GA

COVINGTON, Ga. - July 3, 2015 - PRLog -- Every year Downtown Covington puts on a fantastic Independence Day on the square celebration for 4th of July.  This year especially will be a treat for people attending this event. Some exciting activities will be going on throughout the day until the firework show at 8 p.m. There’s going to be a bigger and better finale that you don’t want to miss! Activities include: a dunking booth, rock wall, vintage BMX bike show, face painting, golf cart parade, and many more. Great food and a food court will be assembled on the square for everyone to enjoy.  Downtown Covington has a whole day planned out for guests to enjoy themselves and have quality time with their families.

Everything starts at 12 p.m. thus beginning the greatest Independence Day event on the square yet. DJ Bounce will be there from noon-four with music, games, and contests.

People must register to participate in the Special Olympics Equestrian Team Golf Cart parade. Registration will open at noon and continue until 2 p.m.

The kids can enjoy themselves at the petting zoo with all of the cute animals available. Retail shops also open at 12 p.m. for shopping while the event goes on the square.

Folks can go shopping, participate in the activities around the square, eat some delicious food, listen to great music, and finally watch the much-anticipated firework show. What is more patriotic than listening to the national anthem, while viewing the firework show? Downtown Covington will sure to make your 4th of July a day to never forget with this epic event.
