Follow on Google News | Daytona Beach Celebrates the Opening of Its First Florida Hospital Centra CareIn June, Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center opened the first Florida Hospital Centra Care in Daytona Beach.
By: Florida Hospital Volusia/Flagler During the celebration, guests were able to tour the new urgent care facility, meet the physicians, and receive free cholesterol and blood pressure screenings. In addition, attendees enjoyed food truck fare, snow cones, and a special appearance from the mascot of the Daytona Tortugas, the local minor league baseball team, as well as an official Daytona International Speedway pace car. At this new Florida Hospital Centra Care, located at 1014 W. International Speedway Blvd., near the intersection of International Speedway Boulevard and Nova Road, Daytona-area families now have access to board certified, adult- and pediatric-trained doctors. Florida Hospital Centra Care is central Florida’s only hospital-affiliated urgent care provider that promises to always have a physician on-site and is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and weekends from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Because time is valuable, Centra Care offers an online, no wait reservations system, to schedule to see a doctor when it’s convenient. But, because they understand injuries and illnesses can happen at the most unexpected moments, walk-ins are always welcome. Centra Care offers on-site labs, and other immediate healthcare services such as X-rays, EKG, stitches, physicals, blood pressure testing, immunizations, and more.
