Miami Beach Bruthaz 2015 Comes to South Beach July 16-20 Featuring Demetria McKinney, Darryl Stephens and More

MIAMI - July 12, 2015 - PRLog -- Now in its 9^th year, Miami Beach Bruthaz (MBB) 2015will be held July 16-20 on South Beach, featuring Real Housewives of Atlanta star and singer Demetria McKinney, actor/producer Darryl Stephens, men’s swimwear fashions by designers Andrew Christian and Mochachino, celebrity host Missy Meyakie LePaige, adult entertainer Castro Supreme, the Golden Boy of DJs, DJ Suspence (http://www.djsuspencendc.com/), international producer, DJ and remixer DJ Aron (https://soundcloud.com/dj-aron), Miami’s own DJ Gavin and more. The event’s official host hotel is the Congress Hotel South Beach at 1052 Ocean Drive.

Miami Beach Bruthaz was started in 2006 as an outreach effort in response to the increasing HIV/AIDs rates at the time, especially among African-American and Latino men. The goal was to create a compelling, exciting weekend of events on Miami Beach that included an important and informative workshop called Bruthaz SpeakUP where attendees could get key information and resources about sexual health. MBB continues to grow and is open to all individuals regardless of race, gender or sexual orientation.

Bruthaz SpeakUp has become a signature part of the MBB weekend. Through panel discussions, documentary screenings, dramatic stage play performances and other activities, MBB has tackled critical topics such as navigating the journey through sexual identity, building healthy, loving gay relationships, tackling depression in the gay community and identifying community support services.

The MBB 2015 Bruthaz SpeakUP session features actor/producer Darryl Stephens, in an open, facilitated forum where nothing’s off the table. Everyone in this session will be encouraged and supported as attendees navigate the journey through sexual identity, building healthy, loving relationships, identifying community support services and more.
