 River View Ford is hosting a BBQ for the Troops on Saturday, July 18The dealership will be providing lunch and accepting donations for the troops from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
By: River View Ford The BBQ for the troops will be taking place at auto dealerships throughout Chicagoland, with each event raising money for the USO of Illinois. This event has only been held for the past two years, but has already managed to raise $125,000 for local troops and their families. This year’s BBQ for the troops is poised to the best ever, but it will take the community’s support to make it a success. Everyone is invited to come to the event, enjoy a hotdog or hamburger, and help in any way they can. Community members don’t need to limit their support to the main event, though. Throughout July, River View Ford will be accepting donations in their service department. Every little bit helps, and it will all go to the USO of Illinois. Locals are also encouraged to show their support through social media. Those who share a video that’s 15 seconds or less about why they’re passionate about supporting local troops could win the Ultimate Backyard Barbecue, courtesy of Drive Chicago. The Ultimate Backyard Barbecue will bring the head chef from Real Urban Barbecue to one lucky winner’s yard, providing top-notch BBQ food for 50 of their friends — along with the opportunity to meet a Chicago Blackhawks ambassador!
