Habla Tamale Cook-Off Festival

ANGEL FIRE, N.M. - July 17, 2015 - PRLog -- August 8, 2015 the first ever tamale cook-off of Northern New Mexico will be held in the scenic mountain village of Angel Fire, New Mexico. The gates will open at 10:00 am. This festival will include the Tamale Cook-Off, Tamale Tastings and a Tamale Eating Contest. There are two divisions in the Tamale Cook-off: Individual/Family and Commercial (restaurants). Within the two divisions are two categories: Traditional and Gourmet. There will also be a booth where you can discover all you want to know about Tamale History. An assortment of food vendors will be found throughout the grounds, as well as drink vendors and beer and wine gardens.  Arts and Crafts booths will add to the festivities.

Awards will be given for the most festively decorated booth and the most creative vendor team name. The younger crowd will have hands on fun making corn husk dolls and paper mache tamales in the Kids Zone. Various entertainment will be proved throughout the day. The Battle of the Bands will take place from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. And the highly anticipated crowning of Molly & Wally Tamale. Habla Tamale Cook-Off Festival will be fun for the entire family.
