New Filipino Restaurant in London – LUZON

LONDON - July 20, 2015 - PRLog -- There is a new filipino restaurant in London which opens on Thursday 6^th August 2015. LUZON (yes all capitals) is a fine dining restaurant at affordable prices. The food can be described as “contemporary Filipino”.

The popularity of filipino food in London has been steadily rising. This is thanks to the many Filipino immigrants who work and live in the city. Philippines' citizens are crazy about food, they adore their own cuisine, but it has yet to garner international acclaim.

LUZON Restaurant joins the small collection of existing Filipino restaurants in London. However LUZON offers something new and exciting: contemporary versions of classic Filipino dishes. Some of the new creations by head chef Rex DeGuzman are barely recognisable from the traditional recipes.

The menu is small and will change each month. The focus is most certainly on quality over quantity. This is not a restaurant for those who miss classic dishes from the Philippines, or those who want to sample traditional Filipino cuisine. LUZON is a restaurant where innovation and modern cooking techniques offer a surprising array of unique Philippines inspired delights.

The restaurant has already released a video on Youtube which shows glances of the philosophy and concept behind LUZON. This is very much a modern, forward thinking restaurant and that is evident when you watch the delicate touches added to the individual dishes.

LUZON Restaurant is located in London's Russell Square. There is parking available at NCP Brunswick, which is  5-7 minutes walk away. There is also an Underground station within a few minutes walking distance. The grand opening is Thursday 6^th August. LUZON Restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner every Thursday and Friday for 3 months. This “pop up” phase is the introduction of the fresh concept, before the full restaurant opening with new premises in 2016.
