By: Jeunesse Global® Independent Distributor Mike and I started our career in Network Marketing 4.5 years ago and had no experience in this field at all, but we learned fast and developed a proven track record. Within six months, we reached the third to highest leadership rank in our last company, and only three short years later we reached the top of the ladder. We built the biggest German network for our last company and led them for over four years. During those years, we came to love this industry because everyone, no matter what educational background or personal history, gets the same chance at making his or her dreams a reality. We have helped hundreds of people achieve their goals. From small goals, such as making the car payment to big goals of becoming financially free paying off all debt, we love helping people to live a better life. To us, this industry is about helping others to reach their goals and providing them with the best knowledge and tools there are. Why did you choose Jeunesse Global? How important is your new upline leadership to your success? Our new up line, Todd and Angelique Hartog, will be instrumental to our success. While Mike and I have been hugely successful in Germany, we consciously picked sponsors that have a proven track record of developing successful people all over the world. Todd and Angelique made millions in this industry, have a game plan that we know will not only benefit us, but also our teams, because what we learn from them, we can teach to our teams. However, success also greatly depends on the type of people you surround yourself in this business with and what set Todd and Angelique apart from most people we talked to in this journey is their values. Mike and I are very conscious of treating people like we want to be treated ourselves and have been looking for an up line that embodies the same value. We can honestly say that we have never met more humble, understanding, encouraging, funny and knowledgeable people who value people more than money than Todd and Angelique. Partnering with them will get us to the next level. What is your best advice as a leader to others in direct selling? Dive in, don’t listen to people who have never had any success in this industry, dream big and never give up. In this industry anything is possible. There will always be doubters, but there is only one difference between a successful person and someone who has no success: One gives up, the other one doesn’t. Surround yourself with people who already achieved what you want, because they can tell you how to get there and while you work at your success never let go of your values. There will be shortcuts, but if you want to be in for the long term you have to run your business with integrity. What is the best advice you could give other on joining a direct selling company? Do your homework and research the company before you join. It is important that you pay attention to detail, such as if the company is part of the Direct Selling Association. You want to partner with a company who is displaying willingness to follow the highest standards in this industry because you will represent this company, and your reputation is on the line. If you found a company and a product that you believe in, then commit to your business. Act as if it was a physical business where you need to insert the key every day to open its doors. The hours in this business are flexible, but never optional. If you set two hours a day for your business, then work two hours with 100% of your attention. Follow the game plan your up line has in store for you and don’t waste time on re-inventing the wheel.
