By: Davidsons Homes The charity aims to save and change children’s lives through medical research (http://www.action.org.uk/ The walk started at midnight and finished at 7 am the following morning. There were 25 teams of five taking part from a number of Leicestershire companies. Tom was a member of a team from the Leicester office of commercial law firm Howes Percival. Tom said “I’m really glad I signed up for this event, but it was definitely harder than I thought it would be. There were some pretty fantastic storms throughout the night leaving me with wet feet for at least 15 miles. As such, I’d lost my usual swagger by the time I got to the finish line… I’ve never done anything like this before and volunteered when solicitors at Howes Percival said they were looking for a fifth team member. Respect is due to legendary pace-setter Rachel Duffy from Howes Percival. She led with an iron rule and kept us on the money.” James Burnham, land director at Davidsons, said “We were delighted to help the team by providing the high visibility vests. Well done to Tom, the winning Howes Percival team and everyone who took part. It’s a very good cause - Action Medical Research does some incredible work, so it’s great that it is being supported in this way. I understand the event raised a fantastic £26,000”.
