Follow on Google News | New Guided Imagery For Sleep at The Healing Waterfall WebsiteThe third guided imagery program in the series, Sleep Well Tonight Comfy Cozy Farmhouse, is new at The Healing Waterfall.
Sleep Well Tonight, Comfy Cozy Farmhouse begins with a typical induction used by many guided meditation programs. The listener is instructed to take slow deep breaths and set the world aside. But then things get more interesting: “Imagine you’re walking along a country lane, late in the afternoon on a warm summer day. There are tall old trees lining the lane, and just beyond the trees are rolling fields of green grass and wildflowers. You can smell the delicate scent of flowers in the air, and hear a meadowlark calling in the distance. And just ahead, a pair of deer are crossing the lane, to the field on the other side. “As you come around a bend in the road, you approach the entrance of what used to be an old farm property, now a sanctuary for travelers like yourself. Turning in, you walk down the dirt driveway toward the house. There’s no longer much farming going on here, but there’s still a red barn standing off to one side, with its wide wooden doors open, an old windmill turning slowly, and a corral with a few horses, eating their evening hay. One of them looks up at you, twitches his ear, and then goes back to dinner.” Soon you come to your destination, a quaint old farmhouse converted into a guest house, where you are the only guest tonight. After a visit with a sleepy dog on the porch, you find your way to your “comfy cozy” room. Once in the bed, you’re lead through a complete body relaxation, on the way to dreamland. Sleep Well Tonight, Comfy Cozy Farmhouse is the third program in the guided imagery for sleep series that also includes Sleep Well Tonight Cottage By The Sea, and Sleep Well Tonight Overnight Train. At The Healing Waterfall website http://www.guidedimagerydownloads.com you can read more and hear generous samples of each before purchasing downloads or CDs. The narration, voiced by author Max Highstein (http://www.maxhighstein.com), is accompanied by gentle music composed by the author, and a nature track of softly chirping crickets. The crickets continue after the narration concludes, leaving you plenty of time to fall asleep before the program ends completely. End
