13 Hands pens "The Banjo Song" for "greatest living rock star on the planet" Kanye West

MONTCLAIR, N.J. - July 22, 2015 - PRLog -- Indie artist, contemporary, world musician/multi instrumentalist, Professor of Yoga, kirtan wallah, artist, sound therapist and fire juggler (just kidding, he doesn't play with fire)  13 HANDS (aka DALIEN) runs a little grass roots operation providing music, yoga, stress management and helping others therapeutically with yoga, sound and chanting. He has come up with a sincere and powerful message for the supposed, "greatest living rock star on the planet" and his God complex.

The opening line for The Banjo Song hits the nail on the head in response to his recent boast.

"Kanye West", you're not the best... artist in the word"

I presume most of us can agree on this statement, especially those who are somewhat tired of his antics. It's a very well thought out song presented with the simplicity of banjo and vocal. It has a very sincere sound, like something Paul Williams would of done, ala "The Rainbow Connection" with Kermit the Frog with more a college, indie vibe. The mood of the song also brought back memories of the Jim Henson's holiday classic Emmet Otter's Jugband Christmas.

During the whistling solo, the video gives props to Paul, Jim Henson and Kermit... Paul was honored to be mentioned, gave it a "Sweet" and a favorite via his twitter feed.

The banjo was really the perfect choice to create the down-home atmosphere to support the thought provoking lyric and simple melody. It's one part gentle, karmic, slap on the wrist, one part self-help message: "Hey we do care about you... BUT..."
and the other part reality check/public service announcement.

"I know you think you are, some kind of shooting star, but stars fade away so please go ahead and get whatever it is off your chest"

The message is simple.. "get over yourself" and try to be more grateful.

"I think a there's a good amount of people who do like his music or perhaps some of his songs...when he's not acting out... and I think many can and do empathize a little bit and understand that there are very deep personal anger issues going on for him... but on the same token, I think we're a bit tired of the public displays of megalomania. The hope is that the song may spark some personal reflection in order to help him look deeper at these issues. I worked very hard to make sure the lyrical tone and intention came off like a good friend sitting down with him to have an authentic, no BS and candid discussion... and not attacking him... but sincerely responding hopefully to inspire a process of self-reflection... hence the "Kermit the Frog" type sincerity in the delivery and vocal."

The Banjo Song is a timely response.  I personally like the fact that
13 HANDS was able to reference Yoda from Star Wars.

"But there's anger in you and Yoda sees this too, You see we Jedi, just
really want what's best for you"

Enjoy...
