Lotek Table Lamp designed by Javier Mariscal for Artemide

July 24, 2015 - PRLog -- The Lotek’s core design borrows from the past, the present and the future. The Industrial Revolution can be seen in the base: the rudimentary iron acts as a counterweight while allowing the lamp to revolve; the 20th century is found in the mechanics of its articulated aluminum arm, which has an innovative ball and socket joint, allowing it to move vertically at 180°. The 21st century is evident in the technology of its LED source. The Lotek is turned on and off by simply and gently touching its head. Lotek complies with certain minimum eco-sustainable features, and all its materials are recyclable.

The structure is made of standard aluminum tubes simply and visibly joined together like pieces in a children’s game – play is always an important component in Mariscal’s life and a constant presence in his designs.

Javier Mariscal - Mariscal has international projection and great media presence due to the fact that he knows how to communicate directly with the general public, as does his work. His great speciality is drawing, therefore his attitude when faced with any commission is an artistic one, using a universal, timeless language which adds value, uniqueness and emotion to his projects.
