CAST CEO Kay Buck Shares Solutions for Human Trafficking Epidemic on August MASTERS Audio Club

LAGUNA BEACH, Calif. - Aug. 2, 2015 - PRLog -- Kay Buck has nearly 25 years of experience leading anti-trafficking initiatives in the United States and abroad. Kay joined the Coalition to Abolish Slavery and Trafficking (CAST) in 2003 and now leads one of the longest-running anti-slavery organizations in this nation, serving thousands of survivors and their families with comprehensive care to rebuild their lives. Kay is responsible for creating CAST’s one-of-a-kind survivor leadership program, which empowers survivors to use their voices collectively to impact systemic change, resulting in better laws to combat trafficking and a White House Strategic Action Plan launched in 2014. CAST’s model of life-saving, comprehensive services informs public policy, enabling the organization to become the bridge between practice and policy.

In addition to her tenure with CAST, Kay has a wealth of nonprofit management, organizational development, and fundraising experience, both in the U.S. and abroad. Prior to joining CAST, she directed the Rape Prevention Resource Center of the California Coalition Against Sexual Assault. As a leader in the human rights movement, she has a deep commitment to developing non-governmental organizations and positioning them as key leaders for innovative social change. Kay holds a bachelor’s degree in Women’s Studies and is a Senior Fellow at Marshall School of Business, University of Southern California.
