Follow on Google News | David Sweeney Joins St. Louis Office of Lathrop & GageLathrop & Gage announced today that David Sweeney, former Chief Legal Counsel for the St. Louis Board of Aldermen, joined the firm’s St. Louis office and will be part of the its Real Estate practice.
By: Lathrop & Gage At Lathrop & Gage, Sweeney will work with clients on a variety of real estate matters ranging from public financing and litigation to municipal and public law, and government affairs. “David brings a unique and diverse combination of talent and professional experience,” Prior to joining the firm, Sweeney served as the Chief Legal Counsel and Clerk for the St. Louis Board of Aldermen, and as the General Counsel to the President of the Board of Aldermen from 2007 until July 2015. He also was a special education teacher with several local school districts before pursuing his law degree. Sweeney obtained a juris doctor from Saint Louis University School of Law. He also received a Master of Arts Education, Special Education, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Truman State University located in Kirksville, Missouri. Sweeney is a member of the Missouri Bar Association and Illinois Bar.
