18th Annual International Mars Society Conference Washington DC Helps IntroduceThe Adventures of Prissy and Missy™, “Beyond Earth’s Sky to Mars” to the World
This year’s convention was a first for Wormack. She was honored to have her Abstract accepted for the category of “Educating Our Future Marsonauts” and sharing her power point manuscript with spectacular images gleaned from the Hubble Space Telescope representing pictorial dialogue. A commissioned design studio, Dot Pixel (Kolkata, India), have begun the illustration process, which requires at least fifty hand drawn anime style graphics of Prissy and Missy’s interplanetary travel, in conjunction with at least 90 images complementing her 267 page book; a 400 word galactic glossary is included. The Adventures of Prissy and Missy™, is in the midst of generating great momentum in the field of global children’s books of literary excellence. “Sleepwalk Affair” and “Travel Abroad” the most recent hard cover release in a series of not less than fifteen, are sophisticatedly written stories in poetic verse, replete with the conveyance of important information, stunning illustrations, and extensive glossary. These are vibrant original, thought provoking learning tools for girls and boys of all ages, having an appeal to adults alike. Furthermore, Wormack intends for Prissy and Missy to become a brand in the world market. Wormack says, “It is important in my life to help educate the minds of our youth using effective learning methods they will use and remember and it is also important for the imparted knowledge to remain timeless and relevant.” Wormack continues by saying, “Interest in exploration of the galaxy has been a part of my life since childhood, first by learning about the Heavens from the Holy Bible, and from television shows including, 'Lost in Space' and 'Star Trek'. Scientific planetary movies also helped shaped Wormack’s thinking, and now she has created her own galactic contribution for mental consumption, i.e.The Adventures of Prissy and Missy™, “Beyond Earth’s Sky to Mars” a mixture of fantasy and facts. Furthermore, Prissy and Missy, being chaperoned by Captain MaRocky and Robot Desaki actually land on Mars and return. However, Mars One, spearheaded by Bas Lansdorp expects to have human occupancy on the Red Planet within the next ten years but it is a one way flight. Three Mars One Mission Volunteers, from a pool of 100 people selected, offered their reasons for wanting to be a part of this history making crew during a panel discussion. Wormack had the pleasure of meeting and presenting Prissy and Missy’s first two books as gifts to Bas Lansdorp. Dr. Robert Zubrin also received these hard cover books and a collectible VHS tape of the movie Apollo 13 with commemorative pin. The call for human occupancy on Mars was the unanimous mantra at this year’s intellectually stimulating event. Dr. Robert Zubrin insisted the time is now and not in several decades to establish a United States presence and human colony there. Scientific information demonstrates earth’s closest companion having a probable ability to maintain human life by creating the right circumstances and habitability. Wormack is also invested in this pursuit and has signed up as a volunteer for the Mars Society Community Outreach and will use The Adventures of Prissy and Missy ™, “Beyond Earth’s Sky to Mars” as her vehicle, in addition to the exploratory, innovative, and exceptional knowledge and information received from this year’s 18th Annual International Mars Society Convention. Wormack’s manuscript will also be published for electronic publication in the Society's Mars Papers archives. Finally, Dr. Zubrin announced, next year’s conference will again be held in the Nation’s Capitol, this time during the month of September, just weeks away from the Presidential election. Wormack believes, “The event was simply outstanding and urges members of the public to attend in 2016.” https://www.youtube.com/ Media Contact The Guilded Scribe Group ***@gmail.com 570-677-0800 Photo: https://www.prlog.org/ End
