Doctors Walk the Runway to Benefit OKRA Charity Saloon through Fashion!

HOUSTON - Aug. 19, 2015 - PRLog -- Cynique Evolué, a fashion house that hosts a series of runway shows, which highlights rising designers and models, announces its 2^nd Annual “Doctors on the Runway” Series titled Rodeo Moda, where rodeo meets couture; an homage to the Lone Star State. The fashion show will take place Sunday, August 30, 2015 at OKRA Charity Saloon, located at 924 Congress St., Houston, TX 77002.

The 2^nd Annual “Doctors on the Runway” will feature 15 of Houston’s finest doctors: Dr. Hari Sankaran, Dr. Linda Uhegwu, Dr. Paibel Aguayo-Hiraldo, Dr. Adeola Kosoko, Dr. Titilope Ishola, Dr. Heather Brown, Dr. Tameka Knight, Dr. Lisa Patel, Dr. Esohe Faith Ohuoba,  Dr. Tanaka Taylor, Dr. Rosell Jenkins, Dr. Ike Ilochonwu, Dr. Daniel Zinn, Dr. Carlin Barnes and Dr. Jennifer Peterson; with the return of a few M.D.’s from last year’s debut show which attracted Bravo TV producers from the reality show Married to Medicine and an offer made to two of the doctors, this year’s show is going to be phenomenal!!

“These physicians are solicited, taken out of their element and transformed into models for a day” states Felicia Mosley, CEO of Cynique Evolué. “Some of the finest surgeons, cardiologists, pediatricians & more have rocked the runway in Cynique Evolué “Doctor's on the Runway Series and we’re excited about Houston’s participation!”

This year, Doctors on the Runway will highlight fashions from RF Lifestyles Boutique (Houston), Couture by Calley (Austin) who’s collection has been featured in British Vogue three times; Sea Intentions (San Francisco) will debut their new swim line which will be featured in an upcoming issue of MAXIM Magazine and Designer Ryan Knew (Houston), a newly launched clothing line by Ryan Taylor, which transitions from the war to the walk; illustrating to us a young man’s journey from a soldier to a designer whose designs were just seen on Billboard chart topper recording artist Wiz Khalifa.

Proceeds from the show will go towards the OKRA Charity of the month, The Periwinkle Foundation, which develops and provides programs that positively change the lives of children, young adults and families who are challenged by cancer and other life-threatening illnesses and are cared for at Texas Children's Hospital.
