Originally submitted for consideration to the independent Diversity in Cannes Short Film Showcase at the Festival de Cannes, these films are a direct reflection of the organization’ 1. Knit One by Clare Gray (Australia) 2. Locked Out of Heaven by Dianna Ippolito (USA) 3. Only Light by Evita Castine (USA) 4. Purgatorio by Martine Jean (Haiti) 5. Ziazan by Derya Durmaz (Turkey) “What is exciting about these films is they allow us to celebrate creative talent while displaying the wide diversity of faith voices from around the world,”Bishop T.D. Since its inception, the organization has produced symposiums with panelists from Ghana, Congo, Mexico, Brazil, the United Kingdom and the United States including award winning directors Michael Rowe, Alrick Brown and Annemarie Jacir, Palestine’s first female feature filmmaker, US based pre Cannes Film Festival information sessions and the Diversity in Cannes Short Film Showcase, introduced in May 2013 to the delight of filmmakers around the world.
