In the year 2000, ABS-CBN Global Limited established E-Moneyplus, Inc. (EMPI) to provide a remittance service that will allow overseas Filipinos (OFs) to send monies to their beneficiaries in the Philippines. EMPI initially set-up shop in territories which include Italy, Hong Kong and North America (United States of America) and established tie-ups in other key remittance markets like the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Taiwan, Singapore and Kuwait. Since then, EMPI has grown by expanding its services and further establishing tie-up arrangements in different parts of Asia (Asia Pacific and Middle East), Europe and North America (now including Canada). In 2011, EMPI unveiled the remittance brand “myREMIT” to signify the company’s more meaningful engagement with Filipinos around the globe. With an overarching tag to underline the emotional affinity of the brand, “A Kapamilya Service of TFC,” myREMIT assures OFs better control of their money and provides them wise options for their remittance transactions. Now on its 15th year of providing only the best possible remittance service to Filipinos around the world, ABS-CBN Global Head of Remittance Raymund Abog shares this milestone to millions of Filipinos who made and continue to make sacrifices for their loved ones. “We share this 15th year milestone of myREMIT to our kababayans who have sacrificed to be miles away from their family in the Philippines with the main goal of giving them a better life and a brighter future,” says Abog. For EMPI General Manager Gilbert Bugia, remittance is a very emotional service that serves as an important link between OFs and their families. “Celebrating myREMIT’s 15th year in the business is a humbling affirmation of our customers’ trust for the brand and our team’s ability to deliver the best service possible.” This according to him will be both an inspiration and a reminder for the team to remain steadfast in their mission to be of service to our kababayans in the many years to come. Since its launch in 2000, myREMIT has introduced innovations in its remittance business. Recently, myREMIT offered a different way for OFs to send their love to their families in the Philippines, the Kapamilya “Remit-A-Gift.” Beyond remittance, myREMIT also pays tribute to OFs who struggled, succeeded and paid it forward to their communities through “Pamilya Ko, Buhay Ko.” Last year, myREMIT awarded 20 winners from across the world with Php 20,000 each, and an exclusive feature at a magazine show “TFC Connect” hosted by Dimples Romana. The communication campaign touched on the lives of OFs and even earned a validation from the Philippine Quill Awards for Communication Management just this April in Manila. myREMIT also expanded its services in the Philippines by offering Foreign Exchange (ForEx), bills payment and domestic remittance services in it’s homebase at the Eugenio Lopez Jr. Communications Center (ELJCC), Quezon City. The 15th year anniversary celebration was kicked off fittingly with EMPI sponsoring a mass at the ABS-CBN headquarters in Manila. Eric Santos, global marketing head for remittance says “we wanted to express our gratitude for the many blessings that the team has earned over the past 15 years. We hope that the team will be blessed with more years to be able to be of service to Kapamilyas worldwide.” For more information and updates visit or https://tfcmyremit.com/ End
