By: NuVorce LLC Ms. Rinkus graduated from the University of Michigan- Ann Arbor (Class of 2012) where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Women’s Studies. While at Michigan, Ms. Rinkus worked as a student office assistant and volunteer for the University of Michigan Sexual Assault Prevention and Awareness Center (SAPAC). In this position, Ms. Rinkus advocated for survivors of intimate partner violence and sexual assault within the campus setting. While at SAPAC, Ms. Rinkus also worked with campus and community partners to create awareness of campus sexual assault and to open a dialogue about how to prevent future acts of violence. After graduating from Michigan, Ms. Rinkus received a merit scholarship to attend Loyola University Chicago School of Law. During her first year at Loyola, Ms. Rinkus received the CALI award for the highest grade in the class in Legal Writing. In her final year at Loyola, she received the CALI award for the highest grade in the class in Advanced Issues in Domestic Relations Law. During her second year of law school, Ms. Rinkus was a legal writing tutor for first-year students. Ms. Rinkus was also an editor for the Public Interest Law Reporter and wrote two articles that were published in the Fall 2013 and Spring 2014 issues. Throughout law school, Ms. Rinkus honed her practice skills in on the domestic relations area of the law. During the summer after her first year of law school, Ms. Rinkus worked as a law clerk at a prominent Chicago family law firm. Ms. Rinkus then became a legal extern for the presiding judge of the domestic relations division of Cook County, where she sharpened her legal research skills and gained important courtroom and trial knowledge. Ms. Rinkus was also a Public Interest Law Initiative intern with Legal Aid Society on the Domestic Violence team. In this position, Ms. Rinkus worked as a 711-Licensed law student to advocate for survivors of domestic violence in obtaining orders of protection, child support, divorce, and child custody. Ms. Rinkus graduated from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in May 2015 and is awaiting her bar exam results. She is currently a Law Clerk and will join the firm as an Attorney in November when it is anticipated that she will be sworn in to the Illinois Bar as an attorney. End
